Matthew S. Morrie,and Diane T. Molleur each pleaded innocent in White River Junction District Court to felony charges of heroin possession

Matthew S. Morrie, 23, and Diane T. Molleur, 22, each pleaded innocent in White River Junction District Court to felony charges of heroin possession, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $250,000 fine.According to court documents, at the time of his arrest, Morrie was also facing a felony charge of escape, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. According to an affidavit filed with the court, Morrie had been on furlough since Feb. 12 for charges of simple assault, two felony counts of possession of a regulated drug and careless and negligent driving.As a condition of his furlough, Morrie had to reside at an apartment on Valley Street in Springfield, but on May 30, a community correctional officer learned Morrie had moved out, taking two handguns with him. On June 2, a warrant was issued for Morrie's arrest, according to court records.
According to an affidavit filed with the court by Detective Sgt. Shawn T. Lundrigan of the Hartford Police Department, on June 19, his department received a call from the N.H. Drug Task Force stating Morrie was involved in a drug investigation and that Morrie was at the Pine Crest Motel in White River Junction.The task force officer also told police, "Morrie had stated he would not be taken alive and it would be a blood bath if the cops came to get him," according to court records.
Hartford police spoke with the motel's manager and learned Morrie was staying there with a woman later identified as Molleur, court records state.
After watching the room for several hours, police knocked on the door and when Molleur answered, they entered the room, arresting both Molleur and Morrie, police said.
